Âé¶¹Ô´´ (Âé¶¹Ô´´) is the state's first and oldest institution of public higher education, founded in 1854. It is overseen by the President of Âé¶¹Ô´´, who reports to the Office of the Postsecondary Commissioner (RIOPC).
What is the RIOPC?
The RIOPC is the administrative arm of the Rhode Island Council on Postsecondary Education, which provides oversight and governance for Âé¶¹Ô´´ and the Community College of Rhode Island.
Âé¶¹Ô´´'s Organizational Structure

President Jack R. Warner
Dr. Jack R. Warner was appointed President of Âé¶¹Ô´´ on July 1, 2022. The president presides over an executive cabinet comprised of the vice presidents of various offices and divisions throughout the college, as well as other high-ranking members of the college's leadership. The Office of the President is overseen by a chief of staff. Executive Divisions and Offices

Office of the President
The Office of the President executes the college's BOLD vision through education, engagement and advocacy with the college's stakeholders.

Academic Affairs
The Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs is the chief academic officer at Âé¶¹Ô´´.

Administration & Finance
The division is responsible for financial and budgetary systems and processes, information services, human resources, security and safety, facilities and operations, publishing services, and capital projects for a 47 building, 180-acre campus.​​​​​​​​​

The Office of Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion leads institutional initiatives that promote a diverse, inclusive, and equitable campus community.

External Affairs
We coordinate legislative activities at the state and federal level while engaging external stakeholders in support of the mission, goals and priorities of the college.

Professional Studies and Continuing Education
Professional Studies and Continuing Education (PSCE) extends the educational offerings and resources of Âé¶¹Ô´´ (Âé¶¹Ô´´) and provides administrative programming support and assistance to affiliated agencies and organizations on and off campus.
