What is the Joint Admissions Agreement (JAA)?
The JAA is an agreement between Â鶹Դ´ and the Community College of Rhode Island (CCRI) that allows CCRI students to easily transfer to Â鶹Դ´.
Students can begin working toward one of many possible bachelor's degrees at Â鶹Դ´ while earning their associates degree at CCRI. Although it's common for students to transfer from CCRI to Â鶹Դ´, the purpose of the JAA is to facilitate the transition from the associates degree at CCRI to the bachelor's degree at Â鶹Դ´.
Why Should I Participate?
If you enroll in the Joint Admissions Agreement between CCRI and Â鶹Դ´, and complete an associates degree from an approved CCRI program, you'll receive:
- conditional acceptance to Â鶹Դ´
- a waived Â鶹Դ´ application fee
- up to 30% tuition reduction based on CCRI GPA
- one-on-one advising at both CCRI and Â鶹Դ´
- the help needed for a stress-free transfer to Â鶹Դ´ as a junior in the major you've specified
Am I Eligible?
You are eligible to apply if you have earned fewer than 30 credits at CCRI and have never attended another college or university. In order to make the transition from CCRI to Â鶹Դ´ you need to have:
- completed your approved associates degree at CCRI with a cumulative GPA of 2.4 or higher
- submitted the intent to enroll form to Â鶹Դ´
- met all academic and non academic requirements for enrollment at Â鶹Դ´
Our transfer admissions team will work directly with CCRI to request your official transcript. You do not need to request your own CCRI transcript.
