Join us for this virtual event - a lecture on "Exploring the Power of Medication Assisted Treatment in Treating Substance Use Disorders."

During this lecture, Tori Panzarella and Megan Cordeiro will address the following topics: Definitions of substance use disorders (SUDs) and behavioral addictions, risk factors, neuroscience behind addiction, treatment approaches, challenges in treatment, prevention and education, and conclusion. 

Megan Cordeiro and Tori Panzarella are licensed mental health counselors and licensed chemical dependency professionals. They earned MS in Mental Health Counseling from Âé¶¹Ô­´´'s graduate counseling programs. They started their careers at CODAC Behavioral Healthcare, an outpatient substance use agency that provides medication assisted treatment to people managing opiate addictions. 

This lecture is free, open to the public, and sponsored by the Committee on College Lectures.
